Done for the day

Did alright my first time ever on a snowboard. Fell a lot but got back up and kept going. Getting some Indian food to go and then will hit the whirlpool to relax the muscles before hitting it hard again tomorrow.

Day 2

Change of plans for the better. Chains are still required on 203 so we are staying in town today. Goingto do half a day of snowboarding lessons and then get a lift ticket for tomorrow. Great -free- public trans in Mammoth. We just got on the bus to the Canyon lodge.

Made it!

Been here for about an hour. Needed help getting chains on the truck. Worth the $40.

All checked in to the hotel and are
Getting ready to enjoy dinner at the Slocum bar and grill that's right across the street from the hotel.

Yelp has nothing about this place so I'll have to review it.

Ten miles south of the 203 turn off to Mammoth Lakes. Scenic view point.

Bummed

The road we were going to go on near Edwards AFB that played the William Tell when u drove over it at 60 mph got PAVED over. Good thing we checked before we diverted.

We are at the junction of 15 and 138 (Palmdale) having a pitstop. Rain off and on. Some snow is visible on mountaintops.

B introd me to Elaina Siegman. She rocks!!

My son and I spend every spring break together, just he and I, on some adventure. This year, we're going up to Mammoth Lakes for some sight seeing, photography, and snowboarding. We're leaving Rancho Fugarwee in about half an hour. Oh, and we're not going straight there. We're stopping at "interesting" (as in "cheesy") places along the way!
